Role Overview: The Generalist Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing and executing a broad range of marketing activities to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and support our go-to-market strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach who can navigate between high-level strategy and detailed execution.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Management
    • Steward the Instil brand, including high-level strategy, visual design, and campaign execution.
    • Drive brand awareness through consistent and compelling brand messaging across all channels.
  2. Product Positioning and Messaging
    • Conduct in-depth market research to understand user pain points and the competitive landscape.
    • Design positioning and messaging strategies to identify target markets and communicate Instil’s unique value proposition.
  3. Go-To-Market Strategy
    • Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market plans that integrate paid and organic marketing efforts.
    • Align with organizational goals to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies.
  4. Campaign Management
    • Oversee and execute marketing campaigns that communicate our brand message effectively.
    • Ensure consistent brand presentation across all marketing channels.
  5. Lead Generation & Digital Marketing
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive lead generation plan, leveraging digital marketing, social media, and event participation.
    • Monitor and optimize campaigns to maximize lead generation efforts.
  6. Event Management
    • Plan and execute events to enhance Instil’s brand visibility and nurture relationships within the nonprofit community.
    • Manage event logistics, promotion, and follow-up activities.
  7. Partnerships
    • Develop and maintain relationships with influencers and key players in the nonprofit sector.
    • Increase Instil’s brand visibility and reputation among nonprofit tech decision-makers through strategic partnerships.
  8. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment
    • Work closely with internal teams, including Product, Sales, and Customer Success, to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
    • Foster a collaborative environment to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  9. Budget Management
    • Develop and manage the marketing budget.
    • Ensure maximum ROI on all marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  10. Reporting
    • Evaluate and report on the performance of all marketing initiatives and campaigns.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What You Possess

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on brand management, lead generation, and digital marketing.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, social media management tools).

Nice To Have

  • Strong understanding of the nonprofit sector is a plus.
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales teams is a plus.
