Overview

Our first Senior DevOps Engineer will establish a fully automated and transparent code propagation pipeline through all our lower-tier environments. You’ll optimize our infrastructure for performance and scalability, ensuring smooth operations as the company grows. Observability will become a core part of the engineering process, delivering real-time system insights. 

You’ll develop a resiliency strategy that will help ensure a robust future state. By the end of the twelve months, the foundation for high-performance, scalable, and resilient operations will be in place.

What You Will Do

  • Work collaboratively with several engineering teams to mature our DevOps practices 
  • Ensure our infrastructure optimized for performance and scalability
  • Increase observability across our entire engineering process
  • Create a stabilized, transparent, and automated code propagation pipeline through lower tier environments
  • Develop a resiliency strategy that takes us from our current to our future state

What You Possess

  • About 7+ years of DevOps/CloudOps Engineering experience, ideally within a SaaS
  • Successful experience with AWS tools like: IAM, Route53, Systems Manager, ECS, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker as well as tools like GitHub Actions, Jira, and Datadog
  • A keen understanding of cloud platforms, IaC, CI/CD, containerization, scripting, networking, monitoring and observability, and security
  • Experience collaborating with a variety of teams to get things done
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced ever-changing startup environment
  • Experienced creating consensus around technical decisions and vision
  • A playbook on the art and science of change management

  • Strong understanding of the nonprofit sector is a plus

Location: Remote (US/Canada)

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $160-$180k plus equity and annual bonus.
